I know Mr Sin was bound to get under Jiyong's skin by making him remember Seon-uk, but the first part of his psychological attack was so lame… there's no way Jiyong would consider what he does similar to what Mr Sin and other hitmen do. To begin with, he derives no profit or gain from it. Second, Jiyong didn't just kill people with criminal records: he killed people who relapsed into crime and were unrepentant about their previous crimes. Not saying that he was right doing that, not by any means, but where's the Raskolnikov wannabe from the first season?

I'm holding out hope that this is less about Jiyong having the suddenly realization that his vigilantism isn't "ethically" justified, and more that Joheon tempered some perspective into him and he is having a guilt episode from remembering that his "crimes" got an innocent good man killed.
