He remind me to Karl Fritz from AoT which he would rather see his people perish than to wage a war for his peopleFINALLY we get Canute my second favourite character behind Askeladd. It's been far too long. People will disagree, but I agree with Canute's ideals a million times more than Thorfinn's. Thors had it figured out though not completely, but Thorfinn at this point in the story is a true slave to peace, willing to drag others down with him for the sake of it. Not a fan.
Last chapter hinted at it; the scene with Canute all but implies a possible pandemic of some kind(plague, though this series takes place in between the 1st and 2nd major plague pandemics in history). Clearly they are going to stop Hild, but then the Lnu are going to be hit with this disease from the settlers.what are the odds of this survivor also being infected
Honestly I hope we find out some twist to Hild's plans pretty soon here because, like.....even from the most cold-blooded perspective.....this just seems dumb?Comparing Thorfinn to that is ridiculous. Thorfinn is also trying to prevent war, he's just attempting to find the way to do it that doesn't involve killing. Also Hild's plans also have the potential to spark further conflict than solving it.
I 100% agree with you! Thorfinn's mentality is gonna get his people killed!FINALLY we get Canute my second favourite character behind Askeladd. It's been far too long. So you would just stand there and watch or just walk away if you saw your kid get molested? There can be no "righteous violence", I too believe this.
