Wow, that was a depressing chapter... both because of the subject matter, and because a month passed and quite literally nothing happened plot-wise.

I see the author still has his good ol Farmland Saga spirit and a tendency to deliver trite war is bad mmkay lessons.

As always, great art and great depicting of the carnage of war.
However, the plot hasn't moved since forever, and I have the feeling that if the whole Baltic War arc didn't exist, the story wouldn't have suffered much.
As much as I hate to admit it, I get the increasing feeling that the author is just filling one chapter after the other, "milking" the story to it's very end.

Reminds me of Ai-Ren.

Except at least that guy found some sort of happiness in having lived.
Viking bro here just got straight fucked.

This is the reason why I love Vinland Saga, the religious beliefs and themes were handled very well.

Not a fan of the idea of the 'narrator' showing evidence that there's no afterlife. Of any sort.
It paint one side of an unanswerable argument as correct.
I want to hit the author on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper and shout "BAD! BAD SENSEI!" at him.
