Oh, poor kid... I hope they're able to save her, too! I'm still quite against Flare acting on her own, but she is also very young and missing a big chunk of her memories, so I suppose she should be a lot less reliable than she's been so far.

Also, will that Pisu guy stay around now? I'm super curious about them!
(Pisu in Finnish is a childish word for peeing, though, so that makes me frown every time I read that xD)

For Flare's sake, everyone should be terrified (including Flare herself), but she's not only heroic; she's reasonable. Her objective has been to rescue people dear to her. (When she learns that her homeworld is in imminent danger, her range of objectives will immediately expand.) She was faced with an apparent emergency concerning her sister. And, had she been in immediate contact with Ami or had Ami been present, what would be the options? (1) Ami joins Flare in plunging into danger, (2) Ami provides encouragement, or (3) Ami somehow persuades Flare not to make an effort at that moment to save her beloved sister. As it was, Ami could not have joined her and if she could it would have been questionable to risk Ami's life.

(Flare ought now to try to learn her name from her sister.)

I appreciate your finding “Pisu” disagreeable. But the word “pee” originates as no more or less than a childish, mincing abbreviation of “piss” (rather like saying “eff” instead of “fuck”); it should be avoided in favor of “urinate” or of “piss” (with the latter being rather coarse).

Pisu looks like a furby that's evolved into even more of an abomination, but I appreciate it being probably the least horrible creature in that world.

Flare has a strong stomach. I would be in shock at the sight of a hypothetical kid sister with a wiggling tendril where her eye should be, and I'm a grown-ass man. On another note, Aimi's musings on the significance of names brings to mind the film Spirited Away, which dealt with the subject in its own way.
