Yes, the Z did punt the FD in the last chapter, in case it wasn't obvious (which it wasn't to me). That's what Yama is referring to by being "saved" there.
That's the exciting end of the Akasaka Straight arc! Next, a short Masaki series.
Also, for discussion purposes, I know it's been said a lot for a lot of other material in the manga already but it's a damn shame this arc was left out of the anime. It's already so intense on paper that if executed right, it would've been pretty good with audiovisual components of the anime in my opinion.
