Now I'mma be frank; I think the MC in this story is too old for me. I gave this a shot because the manga I related it to was this(just cause of the age of the MC, though that MC is not exactly "old man"). That's because I like a little romance with my MCs in these kinds of stories, with "romance" being a locked-in couple or a harem. But this MC already got a grandchild that's old enough to have a kid =0v.

Even discounting my expectations, it might be okay, especially if MC was just acting "old man"ish on purpose for this 1st chapter. The art is plain(plain is better than bad), and having an OLD-old man starting out as an adventurer is an angle that I personally haven't seen yet. I'll give it time to cook.

Don't get it twisted though, I appreciate the hard work on translating this m(_ _m).

I think the next 5+ chapters are a lot better, goes closer in line to what we typically see, basically he's an old man but just gained access to new power so he's kinda just testing it out and working through the process

This might sound ill intent but I hope there won't be any saint or magic that revert his age or return his vitality in his prime and stay on making him genuinely old. Let's not make this another Blind Isekai without the "Blind" part.

I'm definitely interested in this. I grow tired of snarky 15 years old with a hidden talent who gets a harem. Give me the experienced old man with a family who only hides his talent out of respect and never shows it off.

He is still an old man in the latest chapter, while what you said (probably) doesn't happen (I haven't read all of it yet...), he gains power and skills to the point he can move pretty decent, but still acts grandfatherly and an old man

I'm interested to know more about his family ties, though. Why is he out being an adventurer if he has grandkids? That's an enormous risk and a huge upheaval in a life that he must've already established. I wonder if he's a widower or something.
