This is the same author as 2nd Cutest Girl in Class, right? That one had pretty good relationship pacing as far as the manga adaptation (arguably great, at least in my view) - so I feel like they won't go downgrading their writing ability for no reason here.

Ono Rin, the author and artist for this, is "just" the artist for the 2nd cutest girl in class manga adaption, the light novel author takata is somebody else.

If you read het romances, I can only recommend the "I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class" manga adaption by the same artist, the art and visual humour is genuinely incredible (it's really just the same style and even designs as here)
