This was painfully dull, both implicitly and explicitly, there's nothing of substance here. Really though, are the authors not afraid of getting axed?

They could use those pages to lay some relevant motiff or cringe. I genuinely don't get why this arc had some many spoiled climaxes, what a way to self-sabotage. Being Watamote, I'm not necessarily talking of sudden dramatic upheaval, but even in the comedy department the stereotypes are falling flat; the corruption is not a sustainable cover for lazy writing.

That reminds me, every time teen characters in any manga speak about themselves how they are "experiencing youth" etc it's so painfully obvious that it's just authors nostalgia and\or dream about ideal teen years showing. When you are real teen you never think this way about your current life. You need to be much older to actually see teen-years as "experiencing youth". And it's mostly Japanese thing cause western authors aren't obsessed with high-school years and "youth experiencing", "making memories while you in highschool" and other bullshit we see all the time in manga\anime.
That said in Nemo's case she actually could say these cringey lines as character just to imitate manga world.
