Yeah under normal circumstances, I'd think she was already dead too. After a year of being gone? I think that's normally when someone is pronounced dead. But everyone only refers to her as missing, and actually they also keep referring to her in present tense rather than past tense, but I had been changing it to past tense since I thought it was a language thing, it just sounded strange to me. Atp I think it's very purposeful, like the author wanting us to know she's still alive. Could be the opposite though and purposely trying to mislead 🤷 But those familiar w the author's work keep saying Arika is more likely aliveRed herring, they are probably just provoking her. But I do enjoy how things are getting spicy.
Everyone referring to her as “disappeared” is still kinda weird to me, everything indicates she honestly got murdered. Or maybe she was being abused and ran away.
