Not sure if you were actually curious or just wanted to complain, but yes, Koreans do in fact adopt words from Japanese and while they do have their korean counterparts, in informal settings they still use the japanese terms, and this is one of those cases.

Same thing here, there are even times my head just can't stop thinking and I just lay there, eye closed for hours before I can fall asleep, the worst was 5 hours straight, without even opening my eyes

OK I legitimately did not know that. Today I learned that Koreans also use the word hikikimori.
