I'm honestly at a loss as to what he struggles with. Is that supposed to be coming of age story where he tries to come to terms with the fact that humans change in their teenage years and start to have stronger urges? Where is this self-loathing pointed toward his desires coming from? I just don't get what the author is trying to do.

Same, feels like this series is just going on without focus besides having the same drama that is just repetition at this point.

I really like this series but that ending was way to funny.
