We don't have much background info on her (what's her family like, what she does outside of school or stalking, etc.), so I'm half expecting the stalking to be the result of some attachment issues (p. 5 gives a hint of that, on the bottom panel this time).
While I think it's bad what happened to her it defo doesn't excuse her behavior.Anyone wanna help me find some fucks to give to the stalker girl?
I seem to have lost them somewhere. 🤷♂️
Wouldn't it be much weirder and scarier if she was naturally batshit insane?Sigh, why is it that these types of characters always need some sort of "tragic" backstory to try and justify their shitty actions?
Because usually that’s how it works, people just don’t wake up and just become crazy or evil like this, they’re a product of their environment and experiences, it’s not really justification as it is giving the character more depth instead of her just being a two dimensional stalker yandere tropeSigh, why is it that these types of characters always need some sort of "tragic" backstory to try and justify their shitty actions?
Since it's more interesting to see that the character is not just one-dimensionally evil for the sake of evil? I mean yeah, sometimes a shitty character without any reason might work sometimes but it also can be boring/confusing if we don't actually get the villain's motivation at all. It will look like the villain is just being placed there by the author whenever the MC needs some hardship without any rhyme lol. It's not a justification to absolve their shitty-ness though, it's just made it easier to understand the conflict afterward, at least for me.Sigh, why is it that these types of characters always need some sort of "tragic" backstory to try and justify their shitty actions?
