What happens with my progress list if the manga is removed from MangaDex?

Hello there,
As the title says, I was wondering what happens with my chapter read/not read progress if a manga is deleted/removed from MangaDex database, for whatever reason (by scanlator request, official release announcement, etc).
Do I lose the track/progress?
It's a really stupid question, but I'd like to know, to see if I need to keep a backup progress tracking.

At least with the way the system is currently implemented, deleting a chapter doesn't automatically delete any read markers attached to it. Obviously you won't see the chapter any longer, so it doesn't really do much good for you, except if it's later brought back. Not sure if this answers your question, though.

To be honest though this is kind of a waste of space currently since the vast majority of deleted chapters are going to stay deleted for good. Depending on how we'll implement the planned read marker update, we may or may not get rid of this "feature" eventually.
