lol cute, but best to just not let it get to you even if they aren't related/you'd think the times would've caught up to where men and women can interact without it being seen as romantic

that said even with a red thread, doesn't mean ppl that aren't 'connected' can't still date and stuff unless they're fated to not last or so (like i'd try to ignore it and just give others a chance if only for some experience or something casual), b/c while the concept of 'soulmates' is nice i'd hope it wouldn't bound you that strictly if your partner suddenly dies or so, otherwise ppl would never remarry/move on
