It doesn't show the battles. It has no skill upgrades.

It seems to be essentially a Rom-com with some gender bending.
The manga kind of addresses Azumi bring gender dysphoric in this chapter. The part where she said that she was happy when she discovered she had changed, that implies that she wasn't happy as a male.
