This is extremely confusing. The description says that this kid is her childhood best friend. But last chapter said that other boy she had a crush on was her childhood best friend. It showed them playing games when they were quite a bit older. Which should indicate that she isn't actually alone and does still have a friend. But he's not mentioned at all now.
