Why Was My Upload Deleted?

I uploaded what I thought was a oneshot about a year ago. Turns out it was part of a volume, or it was later compiled into a volume. I'm not too sure which. My "oneshot" was integrated into the volume. Fine. Now I find my upload deleted and someone else's upload in mine's place. What is the point of me uploading anything when, at any point, my uploads can be deleted in favor of someone else?

Were the uploads of identical quality, by the exact same scanlation group?
Or was the latter's from tankoubon volume, rather than magazine scans?
Or were there extra pages in the latter's upload (the last chapter in the volume), judged to be more 'complete'?

I don't know. The chapter is deleted, so I can't compare.

It is the last chapter. The only extra pages are the author thank you (untranslated) and the publisher's info (address, URL, ETC.)

My guess here was if it was the same group, who first had a release with magazine (LQ) scans, then later redid it with tank (HQ) scans, and chose to replace your upload entirely.
But as you admitted, the chapter you uploaded was deleted, so we can't compare them anymore and don't know if that was the case.

If two people both upload the same release by a group, thats not separate releases. one would get deleted in that case. in your case somebody likely uploaded the same thing to the tank. But since you uploaded yours as a oneshot, it likely got merged, and since there was already a release by the group in the tank entry, oneshot was deleted.

@blackyawgdom My chapter and the replaced chapter were both from SirC, IIRC. According to Baka Manga he's no longer translating. So, my chapter was deleted in favor of one that has two pages that can't be read by most people and adds nothing to the story.
