All those literal who cadets they tried to build up got killed offscreen. All the progress the cast has done has been undone. The country has gone six feet under. Either we'll get an unsatisfying super special chosen one moment where Kingo miraculously just ends all the Jinka, or we'll get an unsatisfying "bad end" ending. I have little faith that the author can salvage this.

Felt that axe coming a few chapters back and when I saw the sales of the latest volume (around the same range as the recent axe'd Jump+ series) it cemented those feelings. I'd sorta rather have a fuck you ending like Red Hood or PPPPP rather then a rushed chosen one ending. It sucks either way, but when given those choices I lean towards the first.
