"the mages can handle the enemies without the 'weapons'" might be worth considering as an alternate phrasing, page 6-ish
of course, gotta toe the line between editing and translating, so it's up to you if you wanna edit it
you could even go 'the unarmed ones' but there's space so again, up to you.
