the manga was better without forced homosexuals
How the fuck is something “forced” when Shirahama-sensei was the one who decided to add it in the first place?

FFS the whole series is about finding yourself and accepting others’ different ways of thinking, and you throw all of that out the window the second you see a gay person?

Personally for me, the most interesting aspect of Witch Hat Atelier is how grey the situation is. On one hand, we have the brimless witches that want to prevent another age of war and calamity at the cost of magic that can save people. On the other, we have the brimmed witches that want that restriction undone, so that magic can be free again despite the potential harm it can wrought. Now we've got Coco facing Coustas who mirrors her situation in many ways except for the fact that it was a brimless witch that helped her first. IT'S SO GOOOD

Also, Shirahama Kamome-sensei is pro-LGBTQ+ on her Twitter and in a previous work called "Eniale & Dewiela". If gay representation bothers you, mayhaps you can let go of your preconceived notions of homophobia in order to give this a chance or just leave. This may not be for you otherwise.

The pointies have built a totalitarian hellhole where people die of entirely preventable diseases.
The brimhats are mass-murdering terrorists.
Both are worse.

Read Rule 1.

in a world full of magic you have no reason for gay mages to exist since they can just cure themselves of their affliction

There is so much wrong with that. But I will restrict myself to watsonian reasons that isn't done.

Brimless witches are forbidden from modifing their bodies, and minds with the exception of erasing memories so it would be illegal to get rid of the gays that way.

are you reading the same manga I do? curing him was as easy as erasing the memories of the other dude which doesn't break any rules
Bro if you want to read a series about magic that is also aligned to conservative political ideals, then don’t read this. Because Harry Potter is right there.
what conservative political ideals? I picked it up for cute witches doing cute things, not whatever this shit is supposed to be
I would have commended your sense of humour but I suspect you weren't joking about HP, another show ruined by identity politics
Was better before forced heterosexuals. Was better before magic. Was better before plot. You sound like a dumbass
check the manga name again
"Witch Hat Atelier"
not "butt bandit bureau" or "gay sex with hats on" (although that one comes dangerously close)
if you would like a manga without heterosexuals, magic and plot then what are you doing here reading Witch Hat Atelier?

That's a really mundane answer with no connection to future plot points.

if you would like a manga without homosexuals, magic and plot then what are you doing here reading Witch Hat Atelier?
do you get some kind of masochistic pleasure out of rolling your face on the keyboard and sending the resulting word salad here?
