This is some serious mindf#ckery.
It seems like interacting with anomalies transport Cathié and Miramira closer to the present. Why are these false memories even there, though? I wonder if we will ever get lower-level explanations for how magic tools work, or if they will always exist in the realm of "it's magic."
Also, Miramira projects onto Cathié now too, relating to the experience of feeling lonely because of one's abilities. This is getting out of hand; at this point, Cathié might as well as join Raloud's family as Miramira and Nona's daughter, because both girls see themselves in her lol
Speaking of the two girls; seeing them bringing each other up once again this chapter was as great as usual. Although Miramira is still frustrated to an extent by her powerlessness, she is reminded by Nona's needle to focus on doing what she can.
Lastly, Tania's full design is revealed (in greyed-out memory form). She looks wicked cool... Why was Cathié wandering about in the forest sixteen days ago while every other Zuwi citizen was locking themselves indoors due to fear of mages?
I wonder if Tania or Quovelta will end up making contact this arc. I cannot see Nona rescuing Miramira and Cathié out of the memories on her own; she still does not understand magic that well. Besides, there are Bureau officers like Byron to take care of. We know that Tania was last seen by Cathié around the magic doorway; does Quovelta have a backdoor to Byron's Mirage Towers?
