Talk about a twist. I swear, this manga is giving me trust issues: anyone could turn on Nona and Miramira... By the way, here's a reminder that Miramira blurted Nona's real name out loud last chapter.

I wonder why Mr. Belator quit, since he clearly still has the moves. The most straightforward answer would be guilt, since he clearly doesn't want to bring his past up. More importantly, Raloud seems to be aware of this, which is odd since he has no memory.

Moving into major speculation territory: what if Raloud's necklace is a magical tool, similar to Miramira's shackle, and the reason why it is so important to him is because it is an actual mage? This person could be the reason why Mr. Belator quit being an officer.

Seems obvious Belator left because he didn't wanted to fight mages anymore, whether something happened or he just realised he couldn't handle it. Guess he shouldn't be a threat.

Raloud clearly seems giving hints he's probably a mage himself, even if he probably hadn't realized it yet.

I bet he knows, but is helping them anyway

Oh yeah, he 100% knows. The panel after her yelling that is him giving a "look"

looks like it's made of paper but strong enough to not break even submerged in water? who want to bet that necklace thing was created by magic?

:worry: Here we go again
I guess the fact he quit his job means he must've had a change of mind, maybe? :notlikethis:
Maybe he's the sort of "parents (supposedly) killed by evil guys so he became a 'good' guy without realising he was just being used"? Or things got too fucked up even for a mage hunter? That or he's on a secret mission to find the creator of that necklace, almost certainly made by a mage... :pepehmm:
