World greatest teacher decided to inflict permanent trauma to ensure that this guy can stand up for himself and what he believes in.
Very annoying when the minute he decided to walk away and help his friend his master would have gave him his blessing so that he is not distracted like this.

Sirius and Emilia acted that way because they knew he'll disobey them, why? Because they wanted him to stand up for himself and disobey Sirius.
If he allowed him to go, he'd come back and ask permission for everything. Sirius wants him to make decisions for himself now.
If you are just explaining that it would be annoying if he always just followed what Sirius said then ignore this comment, and my apologies I misunderstood your comment. I'm rereading your comment and think it is the latter, and I misunderstood your comment 🤣
