Reus gonna get his teeth kicked by sis... and that sounds like the softest punishment hahaha.
Next chapter we get another companion or some heartbreak.

Yep. The world greatest teacher thought trauma is better than just telling him he did the right thing the minute he walked away from his teacher.

And the kid staying with his teacher makes no sense when the whole situation was supposed to lead up to him being more independent.

Sigh

Nope, even when I read this in the WN I always thought that Sirius was in the wrong. He chose a piss poor was of trying to teach Reus. He was 100% at fault.

And for those rooting for the Reus/Marina ship:
In the WN they get betrothed. But for some stupid reason the idjit stays with Sirius despite the floof.

Nah, MC was f***ed for this. Sorry, but "it was all just a test" is still a terrible trope, even when it's the MC doing it. Worse than that, he completely shit on a generations-old tradition and the most important vow if his "precious student's" culture and life. I want to give benefit of the doubt to MC, because he's been smart and well written throughout this series, but no; this was actually horrible and tasteless of him.

Apparently he thought Reus is still far too immature to be kicked out. He's not wrong. So, this would be but the first lesson to teach the kid to try to be his own man.

Reus wants to be taught by Sirius. So much so that he wouldn't even choose a woman over him, at least not yet. How is Sirius supposed to teach him if some oath stops the process? As we saw in this chapter, he does acknowledge the oath and respects it as something important to Reus, but it won't stop him from trying to teach Reus the kinds of crucial lessons he believes the kid needs (and he's not wrong). Sirius is not training Reus to be his eternal follower and right hand man. He has no need for such. He wants Reus to become a strong man following his own decisions and code. And probably to have his own family. That oath is something that belongs to the wolf tribe. It doesn't bind to Sirius.
