Dude’s crying at work all day and nobody is intervening, not his coworkers nor his students lol. I’m kinda surprised he kept attending the “kindness club” without snapping and strangling her to death. My man so fucking tightly wound.

This is one of the moments I'd like to ask some japanese person what happens there when you finally have the depressive breakdown, normally in many countries you'd find help and suffer from a minor-moderate distancement from family and colleagues, but I'm Just speculating that in Japan just voicing that opinion must be like hanging a neon sign in your back declaring yourself a pariah.

@Renard from talking with a Japanese person who became a Hikimori after she lost her mum pretty much... yeah
It’s a little better than it used to be, but people expect you to not show, especially in public.

What have I become
My sweetest friend?
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
This is an starkly accurate depiction of what a severe period of depression is like. People may think that the random crying or the constant rejection of people along with the feelings of guilt and mood swings are ridiculous, but that's tied to how unstable you are at that point.

Really I feel bad for this character, even if others find him unsympathetic
