Rebuild World became popular because of no-magic crap. Although they are now bordering on the magic-esque world in the LN.

yeah kinda sucks, the same thing happened with the space officer isekai that turned into fantasy crap.

however i would argue that rebuild world still stays somewhat sci fi, and they still have gunfights and tech, most fantasy devolves into melee or sword fights, im fucking tired of melee fights nowdays, not only is it unrealistic, its just so generic, usually it ends with some people yelling and crossing swords with each other ,

I wanna see more series like BLAME! where protagonist shoots first asks questions later,
and fights are short but brutal, or involve more positioning, kinda like world trigger, although that has melee fights as well.
