Sad it ended, but it was a cool series. I really like this author, can't wait until her next work!

The most horrifying thing? Hiyodori oops, sorry, Sachiko Uguisu's own experience with this work. (I'm not likely to run into vampires, but the axe... oof.)

It seems like this was the author's first serialized work, and her first work published in a tankoban format in 2009. Before that all she had was oneshots, which can be found in https://mangadex.org/title/52841/chihone-no-shanikusai . Though the oneshots in chihone were published in 2006-2008, they were never collected into a volume release until 2015.

With this series finished, the only collected volumes of sachiko that are not completely translated are chihone (megchan is working on it), Tokimeki no Ikenie (scanlator is not far behind), and Mashou no Shitatari (a comedy series). Not bad. Hope she gets licensed in English.

Dammit, that poor kid...

And I wanted to see her grow up with her brother and what happens to him in the end...sigh...

This mangaka makes such amazing works! It's just a shame that they're more niche so they don't sell as well, which is all the publishers care about.

The world is really not fair ain't it? This was so good and suddenly got cancelled. Meanwhile fucking fan service mangas with cliche plot lines are still up and runnin' while getting their animation. It is just sad that people are more into lewd stuff than the more serious and substantial type of mangas like this one. Good things don't last long I guess.

Uguisu Sachiko is hands down my favorite horror mangaka. She perfectly mixes humor with madness inducing monstrosities. It's a shame her stuff isn't more popular.
