This was a really strong chapter. We finally got to hear and see Chi's feelings. Chi also probed Seto a bit to see if he's been good to Anna. Yakiniku Policewoman Chi also cracked me up; there's always that one person at bbq...

Her ENTIRE character is based around being jealous that her close friends have started giving more attention to guys than her, along with her not being mature/experienced enough to understand those actual feelings of romantic love.
And the "homoromantic" stuff is so blatantly obviously just her being so attached to Anna and Toyo that their interactions with boys is like them "cheating on her" (giving her up for them). It's not literal and is partially played as a joke.
Pretty normal teenage/young adult girl "growing up" stuff. Slapping labels on it is harmful and incredibly short sighted.

Take the 'Western Rainbow Glasses' off for a minute and read whats written. The glaringly obvious "Food tastes better with people you love" line after she just thought of eating with Tokio 3 times? It couldn't be any more in your face.

The mangaka spent the effort to flesh out the character to be someone that doesn't understand the concept of romantic attraction and tries to shrug it off with jokes of being attracted to her own friends, clearly presenting it in a way that wasn't even half serious in any way shape or form.

And then there's people going "nope, no, fuck that, she's gay, all of that characterization effort? Doesn't exist, she's gay and anyone that has a problem with it is a homophobe". Kinda makes sense people get irked, though some are a bit crude with how they convey it.

I'm not even saying that Chika is absolutely a lesbian, I'm just saying that it's valid for someone to interpret her character in that way. Someone making that interpretation isn't some massive affront to the mangaka, it's just an alternate interpretation of a character. I completely understand that she is almost certainly not going to be a lesbian, but it's really not a big deal if someone sees her in that way, and I simply pointed out that lots of people, for some "unknown" reason, get really pissed whenever someone voices that thought.
