This premise is pretty stupid. Like if she's already been recognized and awarded for her scientific genius and got awards for it.

What does it matter she didn't graduate highschool? If anything that'd be a quirky fact about her.
Well, it doesn't matter matter.
But she wants to graduate high school, because she sees it as a milestone she must pass in order to be a functioning "adult" in society. Whatever society itself thinks about her is irrelevant, because this is entirely about her self-perception. She said it best, it seems like everyone around her is moving on with their lives, but she can't even graduate high school. Sure, she could just drop out and pursue her research as a genius high school drop out, but she doesn't give up. She doesn't want to drop out of high school, she wants to graduate. Even if it would not be necessary for her future success, she sees it as something she must do for her own satisfaction. Like 100%ing a game. You don't need to get 100% to beat the game, but it feels so satisfying to do it and you don't want to regret not doing it.

Not bad, but I find hard to accept MC teaching anyone as he is a failure as a adult, didn't pay his debts, didn't get a job of any kind and instead of doing the right thing with his money he made impulsive purchases.
Tried to ask old friend he never contacted for support and now helped from his sister in surviving, and now is giving life advice?
The neet siblings are more respectable than him.
