100% agree. Japan seems to have a REAL issue with work-life/love balance because this seems to be an extremely common trope in manga.

it is 100% possible to have a healthy supportive relationship AND pursue your dreams/goals at the same time. Sometimes it actually make them both better than if you did them in isolation.

Yeah what kind of stupid ultimatum is this. Just go out normally. And besides, let’s say she does hang out with him less cuz of work; I really don’t think he of all people cares. We need that childhood friend and that other friend to slap some sense into them.
