Hello everyone, due to recent developments we have decided to make a few adjustments to our output strategy.

First is a slight rebranding. ShizueFan and I never thought we would get this deep into our little scanlation hobby. A week in and we are both still very enthusiastic about it and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. So to celebrate this we decided to decided rename our group KotFans-MTL (Still KF-MTL for short). It was always our name internally, but when SF was setting up the group he put KF down, lol.

The next update is our chapter release strategy.
For the past week me and SF has developed a rhythm of trading off between odds and evens when adapting the web chapters. This has worked out mostly, but there are still difficulties like our drastic timezone differences making the timing of our uploads kinda wonky, amount of free time we have is inconsistent, which means someone could be wildly productive and get ahead in their batch of chapters while life gets in the way for the other, or one of us could get a few longer or more complex chapters in a row and feel the need to rush to keep up. So starting right now, we are going to split our efforts this way. SF will continue to handle the web chapters but both odds and evens, I will be handling the volume chapters myself. Once SF is caught up with the web release, he will help me adapt the volumes. I am picking up where I left off during our initial blitz of chapters (289) and hopefully during the weekend I can go back and redo my initial chapters now that we know what we are doing and and have the proper volume version to work with, They will be edited or remade entirely to be up to snuff with our current output. SF will do the same when he has free time too. So if you see our old chapters move to the volumes, it means it has been remade and you should check it out! We have a long road ahead of us still to a fully translated Yani Neko, but I hope we can see it sooner rather than later.

I was not smart, lol.

But like YakuFan said, At the time, we really didn't think this would take off the way it has. So we're adjusting our strategy to better fit both of our lives, schedules and free time in order for either of us not to be bottle necked or forced to catch up to the other. At the end of the day, this is an enjoyable hobby for both of us and we need to ensure it stays that way instead of becoming a chore we resent in the long run.

But then why not let Hamefan carry on with the volume releases while you focus on the web chapters, as you'd previously announced so that you wouldn't step on each other's feet?

I really appreciate that you guys add translation notes and I wish more people did that!

Also this is a really weird coincidence that YF used the exact same Yaku panel for their pic that I did. Good taste I guess
