I can empathise with Makoto, and understand why she's interested in Saotome, but I don't see what this is adding to the story... unless she becomes another member of the harem, but the harem is already too big.

My prediction is that this is all leading to getting Saotome to be the new prez in the student council, citing his ability to mobilize classmates into doing stuff. Then, being prez for the final year will eventually lead to an ending where he's so publicly loved that he'll eventually befriend the entire school and that "friend counter/ratio" that ticked up throughout the series will actually max out at the end.

Also a weird B-plot with Karasuno where prez doesn't want her to be alone when she graduates so she's trying to poach Saotome to be there for Karasuno who was there for her.

I've noticed this for awhile, but ever since she was introduced, Prez has had these dead eyes, no shine to them at all unlike the rest of the cast. During the first chapter of the backstory, she did have a shine in her eyes but after all her friends basically abandoned her the next chapter, her eyes went all black. Even when the VP joined, there still wasn't any shine. The only time they had any glow to em was when she saw Saotome at the fashion show, then her eyes lit up again.

Idk if this has any significance but I figure I'd throw it out there
