There is no 3). This was an unambiguous all-or-nothing fork.

Ever play some meta games when you continue the story even after you reacted a route end?
Heck, it is pretty common to have a true route unlocked after you clear other heroines route.
Some even went for another mile that you need to pick some harmless choice deep in another heroine route.
Some extreme enough that you can't even change that choice even in newer playthrough. The only way to redo the option is to uninstall the game and clean the save data somewhere.

Japanese eroge is some hardcore stuff.

Probably only worked a few hours a day, and it includes lodging so there's that.
Japanese minimum wage is around 1100 yen per hour. If the lodging costs say $40 a day (6200 yen), working 8 hours at 1100 would only net you 2600 yen/day

Maaaan....i wouldve folded...but tbh...that lady was probably equivalent to a negative link event like in the persona games...if he had said yes and moved forward....all that conquering would have probably been undone and he would have to start all over....my guess is that the girls would have either walked in....or it would have been some nonsense where it was some form of trap that messed everything up...
