Notice that since the 2nd transformation, her eyes have been drawn the way they were when she used her powers.
Maybe she got stuck in a cycle of continuously brainwashing herself to act as a little girl.
Or the change has her powers permanently active leading others to be inclined to dote on her and indulge her whims.
