Yoshiki Donates 10 Million Yen to Kyoto Animation/Partial Sales for Vol 8 of Flying Witch will go to Kyoto Animation

X Japan member YOSHIKI donated 10 million yen (which is about $94,000) to support the victims of the arson that took place in Kyoto Animation’s 1rst studio building. YOSHIKI’s foundation named YOSHIKI Foundation America transferred the donation to Kyoto Animations’ dedicated account for donations.

While I am at it last month manga creator Chihiro Ishizuka wrote on her twitter that partial sales for volume 8 of her manga titled Flying Witch will go to Kyoto Animation.

With all this money being donated to Kyoto Animation from both their home country and around the world I think it’s safe to say they have more than enough to support their staff and their families as well as start rebuilding when they are ready.
