Chickens are omnivorous and cannibalistic sometimes. They totally could have gotten some bugs and rats. But I don't think that would be any preferable an option for them lol
Nice job adapting the "stakeholder" pun, imo it fits even better than the original (Bixie thought 股东 was "咕咚", which can be the onomatopoeia for a gulp)
