The plot is brewing nicely too, nice to see that the fiance isn't a bad person but stuck in bad circumstances.

I'm still a little apprehensive about the anime. I hope it's good. But so much of this manga's charm is in the background gags and details that I am not sure how they'd translate into anime
Well at least Ibara's current fiance doesn't seem like that bad a guy. Could be pretending not to be a scheming bastard, but that'd be kinda cliche ngl. But if he does turn out to be a good guy, it's suspicious that someone like that hasn't shown up in the future. Best case would be that he's been busy and why would you casually go to a high school just cause. Worst is that he's dead cause of this. I guess that he could just be vibing somewhere and put all this and his family behind him. Maybe they change the future so he's in it too
