As long as the author wants it to. That's how these stories go. SOme end in 50-75 chapters and some go on for hundreds. At least she has the excuse of being an actual child and not a regressor/transmigrator trying to act like a child.
Also it didn't solve the issue. It made it worse in my opinion. MC asks for Alice not to be restricted which is pretty clear to mean no restriction at all. He's lying by still placing any kind of restriction. He's just not going to be as strict with it? Whatever that means. Which also implies he knows how it would harm Alice and was cool with the full on restraints. Like she's going to have a ball and chain on her legs and the ball is only going to be 50 Lbs instead of 200 if I understand correctly.
What happens and what will Lilianna think when she finds out about that? If she's accurate in the description of it being like another limb or breathing any restriction is unethical and immoral if she's shown no unwarranted hostility.
Dude has had a couple of really sad and tragic lives don't get me wrong. Being betrayed by his entire family at multiple points, including Edgar who it seems he really loved a lot, because of events manipulated by the other FML. But he crossed a line in this life when he dragged Lilianna's family into his life and mess and plans on actively doing something that will harm them. He is currently the villain in the story.
The entire first season was on comick. WAS.
