This is pretty good if you're into some manga history. The translator also has a blog if you're looking for more : https://ruggiablog.wordpress.com/2020/02/17/state-of-weekly-shounen-manga-magazines-in-the-1970s/

Interesting.
I just made an open opinion about comparing JUMP with others, but looking at your blog still haven't changed my mind.
I would like to comment but it is too general and could be subjective in terms of taste.
I want to see more, keep it up!

Thank you for this series.
Known this author from 'What's Michael?' and that's made me a cat person ever since.
He really has a very distinct and consistent art style.

Makoto Kobayashi's "What's Michael" was one of my very first manga I bought back in the early nineties. For someone like me who loves old school manga and rom-coms from the early eighties like "The Kabocha wine", this manga is excellent and full of interesting trivia! Moreover, the translation is perfect and the information in the blog about the authors and works/magazines mentioned in the manga is very well researched. Thank you for this series and hard work!

An absolutely priceless glimpse into the lives of the people who make... made manga.

The thing that sticks with me most is how their love for what they did completely shaped their lives.
