It feels strange how they don't look like they have grown physically since their first year. I guess the previous third year regulars already looked as mature as they did in their first year. At minimum they already reached their third year physical form in their 2nd year looking at flashbacks.

Thinking back, the spin off series actual showed the three third years looking very different. I guess it's harder to get a chance in the main cast without a decent timeskip because with how long you can spent on a character, it can be difficult to know when to adjust their appearance gradually. But if you make a jump of some kind, you can explain some of it away.
