Why are there people who complain about “character development” in titles where “OP/strongest” is in the title I will never understand.

What do you want a character to grow when they have the power of the gods/spirits, his dick length? I thought the absurd power scaling was obvious enough in chapter 1 when his leaving a country left it devoid of any spiritual blessings and caused it to go under.

The problem is that it's just "saying" something is strong. I'd like to be shown why it's a threat. Give me a Thanos overpowering Hulk moment where you're like "oh, he's actually strong! wtf?!"
Dude you dont see the avengers fighting Thanos at the first movie right? His power was HEAVILY HINTED by him mind controlling a god (Loki) and sending in an insane army. Just like what happened here.

Let the story build up man

Exactly my point. Thanos was shown to be strong long before he fought the Guardians + Ironman + Strange + Spiderman

dude and it's not enough foreshadowing when even the strongest Phantasmal said "shit is gonna get real"? When losing all of them causes a country to go to ruin...? There's something wrong with your imagination's ability to fill in the blanks.

anyway the future chapters will give you what you want.

Again, show don't tell.

I could tell you for days how powerful Grand Duke Popcorn is and about how he soloed an army with ease, and it would just be me talking about it. But if I showed you a scene with Grand Duke Popcorn soloing an entire army with ease and the fear and reactions on the enemy army at the thought of facing him. It would really show that Grand Duke Popcorn is not to be fucked with and really set this idea of "oh, he's actually a threat."

It has nothing to do with imagination, and everything to do with how the story is presented
