I'm honestly kind of surprised the author did this. I expected the standard plot convenience of kidnapping "a kid the MC already knows", ie: Frederica-chan (the kid who works at the inn the MC stays at).
200% this.

who is dacchus?
Dacchus was the dead son of the smith Zacchus, causing him to fall victim to Bacchus.

to insulting each other while other people are there. must be so damn awkward.

plus the trope seems to go again. "oh they are arguing meaning they must be GOOD friends!"
Me:.. really? they look lesser like friends and more of enemies...
"SO GOOD FRIENDS!"

in real life it would be a problem.. perhaps it is just me.

Dude ... you have those three who are with you and fawn over you every day for God knows how long, and yet you don't know that much about them to say:

How can you call yourself a phantasma tamer if you don't even know who's with you, man? Come on.
I wonder if he's gonna learn what they're capable of doing (and have been doing) to the places that were treating him badly

I'm confused by the MC, or maybe just how the author has written him. He spent all that time trying to get his old country to accept him as the Phantasma Tamer, yet never did any research into who they are or what they represent? Especially considering Gurenkai are literally sacrificing people to Claire(even though she abhors them for this), know that she is known as the Primordial Flame and what that represents would be pretty damn enlightening for why this cult operates the way they do/what their goals could be. Not to mention the Phantasma were his only companions until he joined the Tamer's guild after abandoning his old country, I'd want to know as much as possible about these powerful Phantasma only I could see.

To be clear he probably knows them personally and probably the true version of those stories, but he doesn't know the public "knowledge" which is almost all myths and tales about them, the real knowledge he knows probably differs greatly, and he has no real need of reading up on them when he can just talk to them and get to know them. And sounds like knowledge of them is rather hard to come by, as they get called different names, he was aware Gaia is known, it seems more like books rarely have info on them he can use, not even sure books are available, he for sure couldn't afford them. And people were not all that accommodating that he could just ask info on them, so he likely only could ask them about themselves. His perspective on them is just so different.
