10/10 tonal whiplash. I'll look forward to more volumes.

A perfect balance of soft, angsty, and mildly surreal. Most chapters are a three-course meal of different relationship dynamics. The sweet and sour core story and main characters justify the 'yuri hope' title, in different ways. The part 1 daydream segments are a fluffy exercise in people-watching and storytelling regardless of the stranger's (or artist's) actual lives. The contradicting part 2 segments about the truth behind the strangers are an emotional gamble that cover a range from sweet to unsettling. This clash of three usually-queer realities paints an often-suffocating idea of resiliency. A situation could be wonderful or worrisome, but keep up hope for yuri. The gimmick works perfectly.

Other positive: The occasional reminders of more varied queer experiences are a spice that grounds the yearning and social criticism beyond the things these gay girls daydream about.

Possible negative: The multiple-reality whiplash is surreal and distanced me from some uncomfortable tropes. It's more disorienting than standalone oneshots. I liked that but it could be a downside for others.
