Funny how the time eras are kind of stitched together in this universe
The earliest Walther PP I know of was made in 1935
and they have an early steam engine car (closest I could find was the 1900 Cleveland Runabout, but I could be wrong) which was from 1899-1900

So if this manga takes place in the early stages of Shelock Holmes from the books, that would take place in 1880

Just a little history stuff lol, I know this is manga and the "rule of cool" is how things function so I won't berate so much because I generally love this story.
Was just funny because a previous chapter when the British commandos were storming a chateau, they had automatic rifles so I don't think the author cares so much about realism for his take of Sherlock.

@gregger man, this is Q. The best technician/inventor who makes bond car and any spy gadget the world ever see. 30-40 technological leap is easy for him. You saw that gun in 1935? Q makes it first and keep the technology as secret for MI6 agents since 1800ish already. That automobile? Q makes it first 30 years before the "official" inventor. They just "release" the tech when it start to be obsolete/newer & more advance gadget get invented in their HQ.

Their spy always has the best gadget and most advance technologies to use in their mission. That's MI6 for you.

@osqmu Most of the time, it's because there's a laugh/sigh/ect in front of what someone is saying, so I find that it looks best to put it separate from the dialogue. Other than that, it's a stylistic choice.
