Demon was talking, and if he didn't help the soldiers, which he didn't, nothing would change for them either way. But mostly in his idea that his daughter would survive if he didn't. She'd meet the same fate as him. Only reason they survived is the usual villain hubris of wanting to make them suffer before dying.

I just saw the notes about artist changes. It's pretty surprising to see the manga artist changes, and the series just continue directly instead of ending and restart again.

Yeah the original artist had a pretty loose and sketchy style that really kinda worked. It's going to be weird.

It's particularly bad in this series where there's a distinct difference between 'hero' and 'brave' and your MTL speedsubs lose any kind of subtlety on that point entirely.

Also, let us never forget:
