The last part is unexplained as a chapter cliff hanger for intrigue.I don't think there was anything wrong with the translation or proof reading, so I wonder... did the overall writing quality just dip? Maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time following just what was happening this chapter, as if they tried to throw a lot at once.
Who was the bird? Did hero already know her sisters were there? Why didn't she seem surprised? Why did she have to disguise as her sister under a blanket? What the hell is suddenly happening?
Yeah it feels like something made in the 90s or 00s at the latest. Really bizarre. So many choices in the framing, dialogue, and character behavior this arc feel gross, for lack of a better word. It’s not like these things have always been incredible before now, but somehow there’s been an increase in ambient misogyny
It has to be the wild west theme of this arc & firearms. Guaranteed to ruin a fantasy story, they infected the series with zombiebrainSo many choices in the framing, dialogue, and character behavior this arc feel gross, for lack of a better word. The thing with this series is that it has a really nice potential setup with the characters and concepts (Darkneria's backstory = kino), but it just isn't handled well in many spots. The little demon girl and her sidekick that just appeared and is there for no reason, for example. It's a pity because much better story could be developed with the author's central ideas.
And to make it worse, raws are poor quality too.
