The only saving grace of this story (so far) is that at least he actually is a support and isn't taking care of everything himself. And they gave him a "limit", in that he actually did run out of mana after serving as a battery for the mage. We'll see how long it lasts before he mentions how it is the basics of a support to know offensive magic as well and be better than everyone at that.
