This story really bums me out. The mc fought like hell to keep his party alive cause he wants them to live and be happy, but after saving them and getting crippled in the process they all become horribly morose and guilt-ridden, constantly blaming and hating themselves. He wanted them to have a future in a story that would have seen them killed but they want to toss aside their futures to make it up to him by constantly staying by his side and tending to him.

I understand, what author trying to convey, but he doesn't have proper plan and it feels shallow in narrative.

Yuusha Party wo Kubi ni Natta node Kokyou ni Kaettara, Member Zenin ga Tsuite Kitan da ga is way better in that regard. Sure, make your pseudo-yandere harem, but at least make it fun or interesting.

Really? I've only read the novel and it didn't seem comedic. Either I misunderstood or the manga is doing something different. Either way, depression isn't funny.
