Obviously lacking knowledge I see but I can't blame your ignorant self for it, tons of reincarnation mangas have made us ignorant to these things. Which has always irked me. I don't like it when in mangas a new born reincarnated baby can suddenly think and be conscious, like at the least, make them be 5-10 years when they become really CONSCIOUS.

The normal 3 year old human brain isn't capable of thinking like an adult. The brain fully develops at mid-late 20's and the part which is this late to develop is our reasoning and decision making part of the brain.
So no, no matter how wise and old the soul in the body is, it really isn't in control since the body obviously has its own chemical system which will obviously effect the thinking process of said soul.

Sure they can... by jumping to conclusions when they only hear a minute portion of a conversation and conclude the worst case scenario for no actual rational reasonings😅. Has this family ever shown ANY indication that they're gonna get rid of him becuae of this? Nope. He even said that several times; once, even after the fact. So, him putting himself into this weird depression over it is pretty nonsensical (bcuz, again, even the mc knows that his family isn't thinking of such a thing). This more came off as "boo-hoo, I can't use magic. Im a loser" than anything else. This was just weird and nonsensical, bcuz his behavior here was completely irrational with literally no foundation to actually think that way.
