The MC has as much personality and drive as a wet noodle. You could replace him with a dakimakura with a smiley face on it, and the plot would not change at all.

i would go a step further than this and say he is also an absolute coward and also a complete piece of shit. i generally dislike beta mc's, but this guy is on another level. i dont even understand how there can be a story here, he humiliated the blonde girl then turned her backpedaling into his personal trauma. trauma he wouldnt have had if he didnt run to his classmates and tell them about her confession and go on to say he shouldnt date her because she is stupid. i think the story should be about blonde girl getting over HER trauma of asking a guy she had a crush on out just to overhear him making fun of her and calling her dumb. its alwayse an issue that the girls are too good for the MC but in this case not only are they too good he has insulted them and basically they should hate him.
